Founded in 2005 by Dr. Rajeev Thomas and Dr. Ciby Mathew, HOPE Qatar was born out of a personal mission to provide quality education and support for their own child with Down syndrome. Since then, it has grown into a pioneering institution offering meaningful, impactful, and affordable services to children and young adults with intellectual and physical challenges in Qatar.
Over the past two decades, HOPE Qatar has become a beacon of hope for hundreds of families, providing a nurturing, school-like environment tailored to each student’s individual needs. To date, more than 400 students have benefited from its specialized programs. Many have successfully transitioned back into mainstream schools, while others have excelled in their 10th and 12th-grade examinations through Open Schooling, and multiple curricula. Some of our students also completed SAT exams.

Several learners have also pursued pre-vocational training with many successfully transitioning into meaningful employment.
Mr. Jumah Ismail Al Boeinein currently serves as the Centre’s non-executive Chairman, ensuring legal compliance and regulatory support, while Dr. Rajeev Thomas continues to lead the organization’s vision and growth as the Founder and Chief Mentor.
HOPE Qatar works with dedication to achieve specific goals focused on empowering children with special needs. These include providing quality education, offering therapeutic support, promoting inclusion, and raising community awareness to ensure that every child receives the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive environment.
